The numbers reveal that the epidemic is here! Many suburban MA towns have a Lyme disease Incidence Rate as high as those typcially seen on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. LymeLITE had a full house for a 2009 "Stop Lyme disease!" public forum in Lunenburg. Attendees learned about the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, controversy, and ultimately the elimination of the public health hazard of Lyme disease. Thisevent was co-sponsored by the Lunenburg Board of Health and the Lunenburg Public Library. |
